From Coteaux-du-Languedoc, France, Pépika, with its peony pink colour, is made from Cinsault and a hint of Carignan. Pépika is a “vin petillant” with a light spritz, the aromas are perfumed, both mineral and floral like a limestone rose garden. On the palate the wine is textured, fresh and balanced with notes of Turkish delight, it drinks like a rosé or even in a way like a less bitter orange wine (despite being made from red grapes). Pépika is an ode to Mylene’s childhood memories, when her grandmother would mix lemonade with wine for her, a fun wine, nothing too serious, both drinkable and intriguing!
