it started out as a hobby

Bogie’s Best Imports (BBI) is a family run wine agency born from our love of travel, wine & food. Named after Bogie’s Beach (a beautiful place on the shores of Lake Huron), where founders Brian and Kathy Ferguson have lived since 1998. Brian and Kathy also have a home in the Dordogne region of France, a place that inspired them to start a wine agency and share the wines of France with their Ontario friends. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a business when their daughter Caitlin (along with Ross, her Kiwi partner) returned to Canada after working in the UK wine industry.

good wine, nice people, small scale

Today we are an agency dedicated to importing quality wine, cider, sherry and beer made by nice people who express their culture and origins through their beverages. The producers we choose to work with are small scale, working organically or biodynamically or both. We do not look for big brands or trendy names, but rather really good wine at the best price possible. BBI values humbleness in both our producers and how we run our agency; we are dedicated to making nice wine accessible to all. xo
