Brasserie de la Pigeonelle

Céré-la-Ronde | Loire Valley, france

a beer for natural wine geeks

Ludovic and Stéphane Hardouin, the former Paris distributors of Cantillon, opened their Brasserie in 2003. Made at their family’s estate La Loirette became the choice harvest beer for their neighbours in Touraine (Loire), and renowned winemakers started to talk about and praise the beer.

In Paris wine bars like Le Verre Volé, La Loirette would be one of the only beers on offer because of its status and praise from Loire winemaking legends like Thierry Puzelat from Clos du Tue Boeuf. Punch Drink magazine called La Loirette, “A beer for natural wine geeks.” Pigeonelle’s certified organic beers are Belgian-influenced, unfiltered, and bottle fermented. You can either let the sediment settle for a clear crisper experience, or mix it up for a cloudy, bitter/apricot experience, it all depends on your taste preferences!
